The manifesto of V-othic prescribes works that is created with attention to one or more of the following terms:
1. Include darkened Romanticist images depicting nature, animals, and or humans
2. Explore elements of the grotesque, the poetic or that which is relating to art history/historical narrative
3. acknowledge through conceptual rationale Gothic novels/poetry from the 18th century onwards
4. convey a noir-like cinematicness
